Organization is half the battle when planning parties. Keep your place settings and glassware close at hand. On display, they add to the seasonal décor and you won’t spend time running back and forth to the kitchen. For memorable gatherings, break away from the traditional red and green trimmings and indulge in the Tiffany-inspired sophistication of a bowl full of shimmery blue ornaments and candles surrounded by the unexpected seashells.

Less is more—it’s all about quality not quantity. A few scrumptious appetizers, one favorite holiday playlist, and tasteful, chic table decorations like these simple mercury glass silver trees and oversized candles are all this room needs to offer a warm welcome to your guests. Of course, the white and deep pink color scheme of our Open Seating table and chairs combine perfectly for this festive setting.

Bring a bit of nature into your decorating. Think branches (we’ve painted and added glitter to these, which is an easy DIY project!) loosely arranged in clear glass containers and pomanders of fragrant evergreens. If you have furry friends, avoid live holly and mistletoe as the berries and leaves are toxic to dogs and cats.

During the hustle and bustle remember to stop and spend a few quiet evenings at home—relaxing with that special someone. Dress up the table for two and serve lamb sosaties (kebabs) with dried apricots.
